He still amazes me!

As we were worshipping this morning at church, i was reminded of why (once again) we are so blessed.  So many people say to me, "your family has been through so much".  And we have had some trials, but as i watched a video of Jesus being beaten just before they hoisted his broken body up onto that cross, i remembered that BECAUSE we have been through so much, we GOT to experience his incredible healing and love that we would not have known before.  What an INCREDIBLE blessing!  I can't tell you what it's like to watch the portrayal of Jesus being beaten
and knowing (quite tangibly) that those beatings were for our healing, inside and out!  I have had the chance to know a love that is all consuming.....one that kept me upright as my husband was diagnosed with cancer and as my children were dealt blows that we didn't see coming. So I guess what i came to is that it is MY PLEASURE to go through these trials if it means I get to know my Jesus' love even more than i would have before.

Isaiah 41:10

.10 So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Our week ended so well this last week.  Izzy (our six year old), who was diagnosed with Jeuvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis two years ago, got some injections into her joints on Friday because she had been having pain and swellling for about a month and a half.  We were thrilled that on Saturday morning, she RAN into the bedroom without any pain and slept without a peep that night.  It had been a couple of months since we had seen that last.  What a relief and blessing.  She is so much more herself now!  Thank you LORD!

Well, i hope to use this blog as a place that people can come for prayer and to pray for others.  So I hope you will join me in praying for some people i know who are in battle with physical illness, and i hope you will leave a comment if you, yourself need prayer, for any reason.  We all need healing in different areas....some for physical and some for other types of healing.  Whatever you need, please let me know so we can pray for you!

People to pray for:
Mrs. Hite - my pastor's mother who has been BEATING cancer for three years.
Tina - my dear friend who is being tested for Lupus
Cory Wagner - a little boy whose mother i went to high school with who just finished chemo and will now be having tests to make sure cancer is gone.
Kate McRae - a little girl who has been battling a brain tumor for two years.  She is seven years old.
Jay Gadlage - dear friend who was diagnosed a year after Aaron with a brain tumor.  He is finishing chemo and will be needing wisdom for future treatment plan
Aaron - my amazing husband for continued health
Izzy -  my six year old for continued health
Amy - a friend from high school who was recently diagnosed with uterine cancer

Please pray with me.  I so believe in the power of claiming the Word of God over people's lives and that is what we are going to do!  It made SUCH a difference in my husband's life as he was going through chemo and radiation and i KNOW it will make a difference in the lives of everyone who comes before Him asking for help or healing.  We are to be intercessors for our brothers and sisters in Christ and THATS what this is about!  You don't have to have a fancy prayer.  God does not need that....He just wants to hear from us.  So, if you aren't comfortable with your own prayer, just pray alone with me.....my words are below!

Psalm 107:20He sent forth his word and healed them; he rescued them from the grave.

Lord, we thank you and praise you for YOUR WORD because it heals!!  Father, we praise and thank you in advance for the healing that is going to be manifesting in these people's lives!  Father we claim your Word that says you sent your Word and healed Mrs. Hite, tina, Cory, Kate, Jay, Aaron, Izzy and amy!  Lord we claim that healing Word over their lives and thank you that you have rescued them from the grave!  We love you Lord! In JESUS NAME!!!!
